Nazia Andaleeb Preema
is one of the prominent contemporary artists in Bangladesh. Preema
studied art in Institute of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka but her
artistic endeavor has taken her from painting to graphic design, from
web design to developing concepts for corporate initiatives.

Residency & Workshop
Art
residency plays a crucial role for Preemas evolution as an artist. She
has participated in residencies in USA, Srilanka, India & Thailand. Each
of the residencies has added new dimension to her artistic approach,
expanding her horizon. Her participation in 9 workshops conducted by
international experts has kept her at the forefront of contemporary
thinking, sharpening her artistic skills.
Painting Exhibitions
Preema has ten successful solo exhibitions at home and abroad. Her

was the first of its kind in Bangladesh. Over 50 prestigious group
expositions round the world
(India, Nepal, Thailand,
Srilanka, Japan, Canada, and USA)
featured her works including five Asian Art Biennale & Tashkan Biennale.
She participated in all the National Art Exhibition in Bangladesh
between 1998 and 2007. Her international expositions in leading
galleries has not only presented the diverse works but also represented
the new Bangladesh in its true essence.
Achievement
Preemas works have received high level of appreciation and commendation
both in home and abroad. She was one of the featured artists at
Manhattan Art Foundation, USA for 2007. Her artistic grace has not only
elevated the local art scene, she has flourished in the corporate world
as pioneer web and graphic designer. Reviews of her works regularly
features in the leading English & Bangla national dailies and magazines.
Work Experience
Preema has worked on multiple national projects for multinational and
local companies as creative consultant. She served as visiting faculty
for Department of Architecture, North South University during 2005-2007.
Her pioneering work as Chief Graphic/Web artist for Bangladeshinfo.com
started the web movement in Bangladesh. Beyond web design several
corporate project received her deft touch in their brand campaigns,
creative promotion, photo shoots, venue, interior and exterior
decoration.
She is now the
Director and Curator of “Preema’s Atelier” (www.preemasatelier.com),
a studio of Art and Design. Preema is also guiding Bangladesh Brand
Forum as Advisor, Creative. As Visual Editor, she oversees the design of
the monthly business magazine ‘Bangladesh Brand Forum’, which has
received rave reviews for its layout & outlook both at home and abroad.
Publication and Media
She is hosting a talk show to promote young promising
short film maker in private satellite channel. Preema presented another
talk show on women issues in another television channel (2005-2006) and
a documentary on Art and Artist of Bangladesh in another satellite TV
channel. Her articles on art issues appear regularly in leading
national dailies.

Exposition
Preema initiated the 1st International Women
Art exhibition on Women’s day in 2007, where art works of 20 women
artists from 10 countries were featured.
Her hobby is writing
and traveling as an Artist. She hopes to enlighten a nation through her
works and philosophy.
Education
Andaleeb Preema has done her Graduation (BFA) and Masters (MFA) from
(Drawing and Painting Department), University of Dhaka. She did her
fellowship in Visual Arts, from the ‘Global Art Village’ in New Delhi.
She got here seven
years diploma course certificate in Classical and Tagore song.
